Wheelchair tyres
Lee Healey manufactures the Britannia® puncture-proof wheelchair tyre.
The Britannia tyre is made from a silica reinforced polymeric compound to Lee-Healey’s own formulation which is renowned for its long service life and will often outlast the equipment to which it is fitted.
The standard colour is non-marking grey but our technologists can formulate any other colour required with no loss of functionality.
Made to our own unique design which is covered by US and European patents, the Britannia® tyre is maintenance-free and gives superb ride comfort.
Popular sizes are 508mm, 560mm and 610mm (20”, 22” and 24”) suitable for 21mm steel rims. The Britannia® tyre can be customised to any size to satisfy the demands of markets world-wide.
Technically, the Britannia® tyre outperforms cheaper polyurethane alternatives in every important respect.

Penny Farthing tyres & Pram tyres
Britannia® Puncture–proof tyre strip is also shipped in long length coils from the production line. The Lee-Healey patented joining method means it is easily customised to any diameter wheel and means the Britannia® advantages are available for restoration of vintage cycles (such as the Penny Farthing) and prams needing solid rubber tyres.
